 Islamic Calendar 2022 The Islamic Calendar 2022 is the Muslim calendar also known as the Hijri calendar. It consists of 12 months in it. The first day of any month starts with a new moon and ends with the death of the moon. Muslims have some respected committees with some Big Islamic scholars as committee members in it who decides to sight the moon and announce the Islamic month starting.  The Most important Islamic month for Muslims is Ramadan which is the 9th month of the Arabic Calendar . This month holds so much importance in it as the Holy Quran was introduced in this month. After the end of this month, Muslims celebrate their favorite festival i.e.: Eid-ul-Fitr. Committee members arrange the meetings for the moon sightings and announce them through media channels. There are 12 months in a year in the Hijri or Islamic calendar which are Muharram, Safar, Rabi al-awwal, Rabi at-Thani, Jumada al awwal, Jumada al akhira, Rajab, Shaban, Ramadan, Shawwal, Zi-quad, Zull-Hajj....
