The Islamic Calendar 2022 is the Muslim calendar also known as the Hijri calendar. It consists of 12 months in it. The first day of any month starts with a new moon and ends with the death of the moon. Muslims have some respected committees with some Big Islamic scholars as committee members in it who decides to sight the moon and announce the Islamic month starting. 

The Most important Islamic month for Muslims is Ramadan which is the 9th month of the Arabic Calendar. This month holds so much importance in it as the Holy Quran was introduced in this month. After the end of this month, Muslims celebrate their favorite festival i.e.: Eid-ul-Fitr. Committee members arrange the meetings for the moon sightings and announce them through media channels.

There are 12 months in a year in the Hijri or Islamic calendar which are Muharram, Safar, Rabi al-awwal, Rabi at-Thani, Jumada al awwal, Jumada al akhira, Rajab, Shaban, Ramadan, Shawwal, Zi-quad, Zull-Hajj.

 There are 354 or 355 days in it. It is frequently utilized to establish the appropriate days for Islamic rites. The current Islamic year is AH in the Hijri Arabic Calendar. The first month of the calendar is Muharram and the last is Zull-Hajj.

The Islamic Calendar 2022 includes several significant Islamic Dates, including;

Islamic New Year is on Muharram 1. Ashura Day is on Muharram 10. 

1 Ramadan is the first day of fasting; 27 Ramadan is Nuzul al-Quran. 

12 Rabi al-Awwal is the birth of Prophet Mohammad SAWW.

27 Rajab is Shab e Mairaj.

1 Shawwal is Eid ul-Fitr. 

The Hajj to Makkah takes place from 8 and 13 Zulhajj, the Day of Arafa is on the 9, and Eid al-Adha is on the 10.

The first day of the new lunar cycle marks the beginning of each month in the Islamic calendar. This is based on real sightings of the crescent moon (hilal), which generally signifies the completion of the previous lunar cycle and, consequently, the previous month, denoting the start of the new month. As a result, each month can have 29 or 30 days depending on the moon's appearance, the earth's location in space, and the weather
